Orientation

Prior to beginning classes at Bell-Brown Medical Institute, all new students are must attend orientation. Students are scheduled to come in 1.5 hours before their first class. During orientation, students are acclimated with the campus, staff, faculty, and peers to ease into the transition into Bell-Brown. A comprehensive review and discussion are presented on a variety of important topics:
  • Review of program and course information
  • Accessing your student portal 
  • Student schedules
  • New student paperwork
  • School policies
  • Student services 
  • Overview of student study resources 

Tuition payment plans will be set up at this time for student’s wishing to pay on a weekly or bi-weekly basis after signing the enrollment agreement. If a student is unable to attend orientation, an appointment may be made with the Campus Director to complete the required paperwork and review the orientation objectives. 

Placement Assistance

Bell Brown Medical Insititute is committed to providing job placement assistance for our graduates. We give the highest quality training and preparation to enable students to find a placement and walk on to the job with full confidence in their skills.  

BBMI assign Career Coaches to all students of Bell Brown Medical Institute to help prepare them professionally and help land their career after graduation. BBMI provides:

Career Coaches hold job search workshops for graduates every other Saturday morning and by appointment. Bell Brown Medical Institute has partnerships throughout the area with medical facility recruiters to assist graduates as they begin their final steps to their pursuit of career success.

Counseling and Advising

Bell-Brown Medical Institute Administrators and Faculty will help to serve students throughout their educational experience, from new students who are just beginning to soon-to-be graduates that will be completing their programs of study. Our team provides academic advisement services to assist students in planning for the occupational education programs they seek to pursue. We strive to empower all students to achieve their personal, academic, and career goals by providing tools and resources to encourage learning. Transfer of Credit to or from Other Institutions

Bell-Brown Medical Institute will approve transfer credits from accredited institutions that are officially approved to operate by their respective state’s department of higher education or official alternative jurisdiction. The following courses may be challenged or transferred from outside institutions to the Patient Care Technician Program pending approval from Chief Academic or Executive Officer: “Fundamentals of Patient Care”, “Accelerated Phlebotomy”, and “Applied Electrocardiography”.

Bell-Brown Medical Institute will approve transfer credits from accredited institutions that are officially approved to operate by their respective state’s department of higher education or official alternative jurisdiction. The following courses may be challenged or transferred from outside institutions to the Patient Care Technician Program pending approval from Chief Academic or Executive Officer: “Fundamentals of Patient Care”, “Accelerated Phlebotomy”, and “Applied Electrocardiography”.

Accelerated Phlebotomy: Theory and Clinical Approach
Students that have successfully completed a phlebotomy program from another institution within the last 5 years may provide an official transcript or certificate of completion from a state approved institution. Upon approval, 48 credited hours will be awarded to the student.
Phlebotomy Technician Program

Transfer Credit Courses

Fundamentals of Patient Care
Students are required to attend the final three weeks of the course,and meet the standards of all performance requirements, and pass the final exam with a 70% or higher. Performance requirements are evaluated on a pass/fail system. The course consists of 64 contact hours. Upon approval, a maximum of 40 contact hours will be awarded for this course.

Transfer Credit Courses

Applied Electrocardiography: Theory and Practical Approach
Students that have successfully completed an electrocardiogram program from another institution within the last 5 years may provide an official transcript or certificate of completion from a state approved institution. Upon approval, 48 credited hours will be awarded to the student.
Applied Electrocardiography
A maximum of 96 credited hours may be awarded to students who meet the above requirements.*
